Your First Tooth!

At 19 weeks old you also cut your first tooth! You are growing up way to fast! You did really well with cutting your first tooth though. You were just a little fussy and you were sticking both hands in your mouth at all times but you pulled through like a champ!


You love your hands and your Nuby.

 I attempted to try to open your mouth to see your tooth but your tongue kept getting in the way.

You even tried to open your mouth for me at the end of the pictures but I still couldn't see your tooth.

Baby Dedication

At 19 weeks old, we had your baby dedication. It was a little different because your Daddy preached your dedication and I sang (or attempted to). Your daddy did an amazing job outlining what we need to be as parents to you. We pray that we are examples for you to follow in the Lord and that you know how much we love you. We pray that God uses you and that your love for Him continues to grow and that you have a heart to do things for the Lord as you grow. Your daddy preached out of 1 Samuel which is where we got your name and I sang "For This Child I prayed." You were sooo good throughout the whole service. You watched daddy preach and then you fell asleep. Grandma bought you an all white suit to wear and you looked adorable it in! We had so many of your family come to support you. You are one loved baby!

 

The lyrics out of the song that I sang are some of my favorite. "The eye of faith can only see the promise God has made. This evidence and substance holds when earthly hopes will fade. To watch him grow, the handiwork of God has been displayed. For all those years He heard her tears she says for this child I prayed."

First Taste of Baby Food

You have been very busy as a 4 month old. Last week it snowed for the first time since you have been born. You didn't actually go out in the snow, but we watched it come down from the window. Daddy and I were off of work that day and we all had a fun lazy snow day together. At 18 weeks old, we decided to let you try baby food for the first time that day. I went with green beans first. You were not sure about them at first...let's be honest...I really don't think you liked them : ).

After the green beans, I tried just thickening up a little of your rice cereal and giving it to you from a spoon, you took that a little better. The next couple nights later you started eating green beans like a champ. The next week, we tried squash and you were a big fan! I hope you like more vegetables than Daddy does!
