4 Months Old!

Sadie, you are such a sweet girl. You are so sweet and special. You are starting to really laugh out loud a lot now, and it is so contagious. I thought you were cutting a tooth yesterday, but I am not so sure now. I felt something sharp, but do not feel it today.

You had a great 4 month check up. Below are your 4 month stats:
Weight: 13 lbs 6 oz (30th percentile)
Length: 23.75 in (18th percentile)
Head Circumference: 15.47 (14th percentile)

You are growing SO much. You are still in 3-6 month clothes and size 2 diapers. I had to bump you up to 5 ounces during the day when I am at work. We may start trying some baby food with you soon for the first time. You are still rolling over from your belly to back some, just not consistently yet. You are really grabbing your toys now and like to play with books. You seem to be trying to sit up some when I hold you. You love to watch tv with your brother. You are beginning to stay awake for longer periods during the day and go to bed around 8:30 at night. You and your brother are so sweet with each other. Having a family of four is the best thing! We all adore you and I love dressing you up. Here are some pics from this month:

Look how beautiful you are!!! Daddy bought you this outfit from a Clemson store this week and was so proud. He did a good job!

Your 4 month pics. What a baby doll!

Look how well you are holding your head up!! You love to kick your feet and you love your Minnie Mouse! You are starting to loose your hair on top!

LOVE LOVE LOVE those cheeks!!

We love you so much Sadie!! You are perfect!!

Spring!!!

You both really love each other right now and it is so sweet. Lucas loves to hold his baby sister and Sadie just laughs and grins every time he looks at her.

Watching Mickey Mouse together.

Lucas loves his fireman hat!

He even had to wear it to the store.

I cooked a homemade chocolate cake for Daddy's birthday. Lucas wanted to know where the candles were at. I did not have any, so he went and found one from his Lego set....so sweet.

Sadie looking pretty in her tutu.

Sadie loves snuggling with Pa.

Going outside for first time at home in the stroller! Sadie absolutely loved it!!

Grandma found my old outfit from when I was a baby. Perfect fit!

My baby picture. I think we look a little a like...especially with the rolls : ).

1st Trip to the Beach

For Daddy's birthday, we decided to take a little trip to the beach and to visit my best friend Brandi and her family. We had a great trip. It was Sadie's 1st overnight trip somewhere. Packing was a lot easier with the second baby because we knew the necessities : ). It also helped that I am breastfeeding this time instead of pumping and we did not have to worry about warming up milk and bottles all of the time.

We stayed near Broadway at the Beach because we knew we wanted to spend most of the day there before going to visit the Todds. The weather was great. It was a little windy at first, but was perfect after we ate.

Lucas had a great time with this bench.

Every store we went in, Lucas had to try on the sunglasses.

Having fun sitting on the dinosaur

Daddy and Lucas sitting on the "scary" dinosaur.

Sadie was soo good. You are such a relaxed and good baby. You were snuggled in the stroller and was warm. Never made a peep.

We stopped and played on the playground and it was definitely a hit. We went to this same playground last you and Lucas needed our help to do everything. This year, he was a big boy running everywhere by himself. : (.

That night we visited Brandi, Von, Elliott, and McCrea. We had the best time and love getting together with them! We cannot wait to plan another trip with them.

The next day, we went to Ripley's Aquarium at Broadway. We had a great time. Lucas loved exploring everything and loved the jellyfish!

You were also really excited to "touch" a stingway (even though we really did not let you do that just yet...)

Your favorite! The jellyfish!

They had a little playground at the end, so of course we let you play on it. You loved it!

I would have to say that our first trip was a success. I can't wait for many, many more as a family of 4!!
