Easter

The Friday before Easter, we ate at Grandma and Grandpa's house and dyed/hid Easter eggs.

Lucas LOVED dying the eggs and he did a really good job being only 2.

We also gave Lucas and Sadie some Easter surprises!

Lucas's basket!

Of course you loved the egg that I stole out of your basket from last year better than anything new : ).

Sadie with her basket of goodies!

Dying eggs at home to hide.

To say Lucas likes to hide eggs is an understatement. He actually likes to hide and find them. It was funny watching you hide your own eggs and then pretend you were soo surprised when you found them.

Sadie enjoyed watching her brother from the swing.

First time swinging together on the new swing set!

You thought finding the golden egg was the best thing ever. You hid it on the doorknob every time to "camouflage" it.

We always make cookies every holiday so of course we did for Easter. Cookies are your favorite sweet!

Making cookies, dying eggs, and hiding them wore both of you out!

On Easter Sunday, we celebrated the resurrection of our Lord! So thankful that He came to save us from our sins.

Both Sadie and I had on white dresses with purple cardigans, and Lee and Lucas wore matching gray suits with the same ties. I LOVE dressing alike. I am kind of obsessed with it.

Thankful for our Savior and the blessings that He has given us. I love Easter and I am so thankful for our little family. God has been so good to us!

Playing Outside

I love that I get off of work early everyday so that I can take Lucas and Sadie outside. We come home and get supper started and then head straight out the door to play. Lucas and Sadie both LOVE to be outside. Lucas loves his swing set that he got for Christmas!

Playing with your power tools! Getting ready to help Daddy in the yard.

Does it get any sweeter? I love your sweet smile!

Matching at church and loving each other.

4 Months Old!

Sadie, you are such a sweet girl. You are so sweet and special. You are starting to really laugh out loud a lot now, and it is so contagious. I thought you were cutting a tooth yesterday, but I am not so sure now. I felt something sharp, but do not feel it today.

You had a great 4 month check up. Below are your 4 month stats:
Weight: 13 lbs 6 oz (30th percentile)
Length: 23.75 in (18th percentile)
Head Circumference: 15.47 (14th percentile)

You are growing SO much. You are still in 3-6 month clothes and size 2 diapers. I had to bump you up to 5 ounces during the day when I am at work. We may start trying some baby food with you soon for the first time. You are still rolling over from your belly to back some, just not consistently yet. You are really grabbing your toys now and like to play with books. You seem to be trying to sit up some when I hold you. You love to watch tv with your brother. You are beginning to stay awake for longer periods during the day and go to bed around 8:30 at night. You and your brother are so sweet with each other. Having a family of four is the best thing! We all adore you and I love dressing you up. Here are some pics from this month:

Look how beautiful you are!!! Daddy bought you this outfit from a Clemson store this week and was so proud. He did a good job!

Your 4 month pics. What a baby doll!

Look how well you are holding your head up!! You love to kick your feet and you love your Minnie Mouse! You are starting to loose your hair on top!

LOVE LOVE LOVE those cheeks!!

We love you so much Sadie!! You are perfect!!

Spring!!!

You both really love each other right now and it is so sweet. Lucas loves to hold his baby sister and Sadie just laughs and grins every time he looks at her.

Watching Mickey Mouse together.

Lucas loves his fireman hat!

He even had to wear it to the store.

I cooked a homemade chocolate cake for Daddy's birthday. Lucas wanted to know where the candles were at. I did not have any, so he went and found one from his Lego set....so sweet.

Sadie looking pretty in her tutu.

Sadie loves snuggling with Pa.

Going outside for first time at home in the stroller! Sadie absolutely loved it!!

Grandma found my old outfit from when I was a baby. Perfect fit!

My baby picture. I think we look a little a like...especially with the rolls : ).

1st Trip to the Beach

For Daddy's birthday, we decided to take a little trip to the beach and to visit my best friend Brandi and her family. We had a great trip. It was Sadie's 1st overnight trip somewhere. Packing was a lot easier with the second baby because we knew the necessities : ). It also helped that I am breastfeeding this time instead of pumping and we did not have to worry about warming up milk and bottles all of the time.

We stayed near Broadway at the Beach because we knew we wanted to spend most of the day there before going to visit the Todds. The weather was great. It was a little windy at first, but was perfect after we ate.

Lucas had a great time with this bench.

Every store we went in, Lucas had to try on the sunglasses.

Having fun sitting on the dinosaur

Daddy and Lucas sitting on the "scary" dinosaur.

Sadie was soo good. You are such a relaxed and good baby. You were snuggled in the stroller and was warm. Never made a peep.

We stopped and played on the playground and it was definitely a hit. We went to this same playground last you and Lucas needed our help to do everything. This year, he was a big boy running everywhere by himself. : (.

That night we visited Brandi, Von, Elliott, and McCrea. We had the best time and love getting together with them! We cannot wait to plan another trip with them.

The next day, we went to Ripley's Aquarium at Broadway. We had a great time. Lucas loved exploring everything and loved the jellyfish!

You were also really excited to "touch" a stingway (even though we really did not let you do that just yet...)

Your favorite! The jellyfish!

They had a little playground at the end, so of course we let you play on it. You loved it!

I would have to say that our first trip was a success. I can't wait for many, many more as a family of 4!!
