Lucas, you are a talking machine. You have added many words to your vocabulary! You are now saying mommy and daddy/dada consistently. You say apple and bible beautifully. You also say pop and bubbles, bye-bye, all done, I'll get it, eeww, up, teeth...and a few more that I cannot think of right now. You understand a lot of things and are able to get most of your toys/stuffed animals when daddy and I ask you to get one of them. You are wearing size 18-24 month clothes now and still size 4 diapers. You are eating great and eat most things. You used to love carrots and sweet potatoes, but you are not a fan at this time. Your favorites are green beans and broccoli...and of course you love any kind of chicken. You love to dance/jump, laugh, brush your teeth, read books, and take a bath. Your favorite thing to do is to go outside! You are so sweet and have watched me water blueberry bushes..and one day you got the pail I used to water the bushes by yourself and went to the backyard to water them without me saying anything. So smart!
The church surprised us with a trip to Gatlinburg, TN for pastor's appreciation month and it was wonderful! You had a great time! We went to Ripley's aquarium the first full day and you loved it. You wanted to run around and show daddy and me everything. You especially loved the penguins. That night we ate at The Alamo and it was really good. You ate salmon and broccoli. Every morning we went down for a full breakfast. You mostly ate toast (which is your absolute favorite breakfast food) and eggs, yogurt. We stayed in a hotel with an indoor heated pool and we went swimming the next day. We bought you a float and you did not want to leave. We had planned on walking outside on main street of Gatlinburg but you were ready for a nap. I do not think you particularly liked being bundled up, but you looked so cute! You looked like such a big boy in this picture before we went out to eat at the hotel!
We went shopping at the outlets and you had to play in the icecream truck.
We were planning on leaving Saturday morning but they were calling for lots of snow, so we left late Friday night. It actually worked out pretty well because you just slept the whole way. We were planning on stopping at a pumpkin patch on the way home, but we were not able to go this year. We will go next year and let you pick out your own pumpkin.
You had your second Thanksgiving this year, but it was the first one that you could eat at! You loved everything from the turkey, dressing, mac and cheese to the cranberry sauce!
Aunt Kacie had a birthday party and it was at Dempsey's Pizza in Clinton. You loved playing on all of the games after we ate.
Unfortunately, you got sick later that weak with the croup and you were pitiful. You woke up at 11:30 and did not go back to sleep until 4:30. I gave you an albuterol tx, but it really did not help and then I gave you Tylenol and you were able to rest some. Grandma, Daddy, and I took you to the doctor as soon as it opened the next morning. You had to have breathing treatments and a steroid shot. We had to take you back that afternoon for another breathing tx. I took the next day off of work and we were able to play and rest all day and thankfully, you felt a lot better!!
Just being sweet.
Watering the bushes for mama.
Wearing your clemson outfit to church the Sunday after they won! You were the cutest Clemson fan I've ever seen.
