I have to take so many CEU courses each year to keep up my Speech Pathology license and my best friend, Brandi, from grad school and I try to take the same courses so that we can see each other. Well, since we both are new moms and have babies, we were not ready to leave them behind just yet so we made it a family trip. We had bible study Thursday night and did not leave until around 9:00 that night. Lee drove and Lucas and I sat in the back seat. We were a little nervous about driving that far with Lucas for the first time but he was a champ and slept the entire way! When we arrived, of course he woke up with us moving all of the luggage, but he was so sweet and just smiled. After we got his pack-n-play up, I rocked him to sleep and he slept the entire night!
The next morning, Brandi and I had class the entire day. However, we were so excited for our children to meet so we got together during our lunch break. Elliott is 11 months old and they became instant friends. That night, we all went out to eat at Bone Fish Grill.
Proud Daddys with their babies. Lucas is the same size
as Elliott even though they are 6 months apart!
Saturday afternoon, we went to eat at a BBQ place for lunch and then met Elliott, Von, and Brandi at the Charleston Aquarium. Lucas made it about 30 minutes and then fell asleep.
At the end of our trip, we took a mommy and baby pic. We were sad to say goodbye!
You were a great traveler and did really well for your first overnight trip!
