Family Fridays and Playing in the Rain

Every Friday, we try to go out as a family. We try to keep that night open just for us. I look forward to it every week and love it. Its these little, small moments that I love and will miss when you and Lucas grow up.

This past Friday, it was really hot outside, so we went to Barnes and Noble to let Lucas and Sadie play where it was cool. We had so much fun. Lucas and Sadie love the blocks and the train table.

9 Months Old!

Sadie! 9 Months Old! You are so full of energy and love! You are a little firecracker for sure. You are talking up a storm now and have incorporated mama into the mixture of babbling : ). Saying that you are crawling and climbing on everything is an understatement. You think you are as big as your brother and want to do EVERYTHING that he does. No one can make you laugh like him and I love it. You are still eating brunch with a fruit and oatmeal and usually a whole packet of veggies at night. You love puffs, especially the beet and strawberry ones. You are wearing all size 12 months clothes now and a few 18 months and you are still in size 3 diapers. You are wearing size 3 shoes. It is so fun watching your personality expand these last few weeks. I think you will be walking soon because you are gliding from one thing to the next pretty easily.

9 Months old! I cannot believe it. I am so blessed to have to beautiful children. God has been so good to our family and I love you so much!

Lucas,
I just wanted to write a special note for you during the sweet stage in our life. You have had a lot of changes happen this past year and I cannot believe that you are going to be 3! Ever since your 2nd birthday last year, life has been very different and I am so proud of how you have responded and adapted. You are a special little boy and I know God has great things for you. You are so loving with Sadie and want to be with her at all times. I love that you love your Daddy and me and cling to us so closely. You are so smart and your vocabulary and the rate that you learn amazes me everyday. I pray that you love the Lord and allow Him to guide you. You are such a precious little boy that has stolen my heart and I cannot even remember what life was like before you. What did I do with my time?! You make us laugh and make us learn more about ourselves each day. We thought about starting school this year, but really prayed and wanted to have you with us one more year before starting. You love vacuums (I know...I never would have guessed that's what we would talk about most of the time), outside, playing with Sadie, looking at pictures. Thank you soo much for being so sweet. I still cannot believe that I am a mother and it is truly the best feeling in the world. Just wanted you to know how much I love you!

Vacation Bible School 2016

Although this is technically Lucas's second VBS and Sadie's first, it was the first time Lucas went to class. He did really well. Lee sat in class in the corner, just so Lucas would feel a little more comfortable since it was a church that we are not at all of the time and by the end of the week, we just sat hidden away. It was soo much fun and Lucas had a lot of fun playing with all of the kids.
